Peter Storr

Born in England, 1974
​
I spent my early years in engineering as a Professional CAD Draughtsman before taking a few years off to bring up my children. It was in this period that I fell into photography and film-making and while it was just a hobby to begin with I soon found I enjoyed the challenge far more than the engineering one.

I am educated to a level 3 NCFE standard and have worked for the last 9 years for companies such as Stagecoach, Applause Theatre School & Tall Tales Mysteries creating everything from basic photographs to show tickets, banners, flyers & advert drapes on the image side, to full stage show recording, show-reels, music videos, YouTube shorts and advertising trailers on the filming side.

I am currently spending time on the other side of the lens acting in murder mysteries for Tall Tales Mysteries and have performed in plays and pantomimes for Bishop Auckland Theatre Society and while this is causing some ambivalence, with regard to not being able to photograph myself while I'm acting, it is giving me an interesting insight into how to work with actors and crew.
